The national conference "Look wide. Reviewing sexuality- and gender-based violence against LGBTI+ people” took place on 12th December in the Innovathens conference room in Athens.
Particiapants were psychologists, health professionals, lawyers, students, social workers, teachers as well as sex workers.
Akis Pantazis introduced the project, outlining the activities, challenges and difficulties encountered during the implementation. Nancy Papathanasiou and Elena-Olga Christidi, researchers and trainers of the Look wide project, introduced the audience to the guide for professionals through an exercise featured in the guide.
A roundtable about interdisciplinary approaches and good practices was organized with the participation of representatives from:
- the International LGBTQIA+ Solidarity,
- Red Umbrella Athens,
- Centre for Research on Women’s Issues (CRWI) “Diotima”
- Orlando LGBT+
- Medical Society
Finally, KMOP presented the guide to the audience.
